Technology
Explores the expanding field of biotechnology and how it impacts science and society. Examines fundamental biological, chemical, and mathematical principles as they apply to biotechnology. Laboratory activities emphasize essential methodologies employed in scientific inquiry and experimentation. A writing course that develops fluency and confidence in communication and clarity in thinking through writer’s notebooks, expository writing, analytical reading, and listening. Structured assignments are used to explore personal goals and values, exercising skills needed for reasoning and writing across the curriculum.
